The Incredible Powers of the Vanilla Bean
Pleasantly fragrant rich vanilla beans are the pods or fruits obtained from a tropical climbing orchid. Mayans used them to flavor chocolate drink centuries before the Spanish first set their foot in Mexico in 1520. This highly prized bean is native tothe tropical rain forest of Central America and only recently spread to other tropical-regions by Spanish explorers.
Botanically, the plant is a perennial herbaceous climbing vine belonging to the family of Orchidaceae, in the genus: vanilla. Scientific name:Vanilla planifolia. Medieval healers used vanilla bean pods to treat medical ailments, according to a 2008 review in “Economic Botany.” Modern researchers have yet to document such use, but vanilla beans do have medicinal properties.
- Vanilla extract composed of simple and complex sugars, essential oils, vitamins and minerals.
- The chief chemical component in the beans is vanillin. They also include numerous traces of other constituents such as eugenol, caproic acid, phenoles, phenol ether, alcohols, carbonyl compounds, acids, ester, lactones, aliphatic and aromatic carbohydrates and vitispiranes.
- Ancient Mayans believed that vanilla drink was supposed to have aphrodisiac qualities. No modern research study, however, establishes its role in the treatment of sexual dysfunctions.
- Its extract contains small amounts of B-complex groups of vitamins such as niacin, pantothenic acid, thiamin, riboflavin and vitamin B-6. These vitamins help in enzyme synthesis, nervous system function and regulating body metabolism.
- This spice also contains small traces of minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, manganese, iron and zinc. Potassium is an important component of cell and body fluids that helps control heart rate and blood pressure. Manganese and copper are used by the body as co-factors for the antioxidant enzyme, superoxide dismutase. Iron is essential for red blood cell production and as a co-factor for cytochrome-oxidases enzymes.
The scent of vanilla has a calming effect that can complement traditional treatments for anxiety. An investigation published in 2005 in “Chemical Senses” looked at the effect of the vanilla scent. Participants inhaled vanilla bean samples and reported increased feelings of relaxation and happiness.
The addition of vanilla to food products can increase their safety without making them taste bad. A study described in the 2005 edition of the “Journal of Food Protection” tested the effect of vanillin — which triggers the release of vanillic acid — on common bacteria. The researchers exposed bacteria from the Listeria family to vanilla extracts. They found that vanillin inhibited the growth of all strains. Vanillin appeared to be most effective in foods with low pH values.
Vanilla could prove useful in the fight against cancer. The mechanism remains unknown, although the anti-oxidant properties in vanilla appear to be a factor. Anti-oxidants block free radicals — substances known to cause cancer and aging. A 2005 article in the “European Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences” tested the ability of vanilla bean extracts to fight cancer in an animal model of breast cancer. Mice received vanillin or water for an extended period of time. Relative to the placebo, vanillin reduced the number of cancer cells without causing toxicity.
In a study published in 2007 in “E-SPEN,” the European e-Journal of Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism, researchers used vanillin to measure compliance with prescribed medications. Participants received a drink containing vanillin or a placebo. Researchers found that the vanillin showed up in participants’ urine. Adding vanillin to medications can help health-care professionals make sure that patients are getting what they need.
Aromatherapists can use many essential oils to help people relax and reduce stress, explains the University of Maryland Medical Center in its review of aromatherapy and essential oil treatments. A report in a 2005 issue of “Chemical Senses,” found that people exposed to vanilla essential oil’s fragrance felt a boost in their mood and felt more relaxed, but there is not enough current research to confirm vanilla essential oil’s effect as a mood relaxant.
Essential oil researcher Jeanne Rose describes vanilla oil’s benefits in her book “375 Essential Oils and Hydrosols.”
Rose notes that vanilla has a long history of use as an aphrodisiac agent–something that increases sexual arousal and interest.
Here is a romantic concoction with vanilla:
- 3 drops of sandalwood essential oil – Sedative and aphrodisiac
- 2 drops of vanilla essential oil – aphrodisiac
- 3 drops of cedar wood essential oil – relaxing and aphrodisiac
- 15 drops of bergamot essential oil – mood enhancer and reviving
- 1/2 pint (about 300mls) of either ethyl alcohol or vodka
- Pour the alcohol/vodka into a spray bottle or a small jar with a tight fitting lid.
- Add all of the essential oils and then give it a good shake.
- Allow to sit for a week before using.
- For best results spray on pulse spots (or use in a diffuser).
Aromatherapy is the practice of using aromatic essential oils from plants to achieve physical and psychological benefits. You can enjoy the aromas of essential oils by warming them in fragrance diffusers, or add them to gels or lotions and apply them to the skin. Do not apply undiluted essential oils to the skin as this can cause irritation.
The Orange Blossom
The Orange blossom is the fragrant flower of the Citrus sinensis (orange tree). It is used in perfume making, has been written about as an aphrodisiac and is is traditionally associated with good fortune and has been popular in bridal bouquets and head wreaths for weddings. Orange blossom essence is an important component in the making of perfume. The petals of orange blossom can also be made into a delicately citrus-scented version of rosewater; orange blossom water (aka orange flower water), a common part of both French cuisine and Middle Eastern cuisine (most often as an ingredient in desserts and baked goods). The orange blossom is beneficial for headaches, nausea, vomiting, vertigo, cancer pains, insomnia, cleansing the blood and smoothing the complexion. The medicinal part of the orange blossom are the flower parts. The flowers of both the bitter and the sweet varieties of orange have been used for centuries as a treatment for anxiety and insomnia, due to their mildly sedating effects on the nervous system. An infusion (tea) made from the flowers is also recommended for mild stomach upset and as an aid to digestion.
Symbolism and History of Oranges, Scientific Name Citrus Aurantium Dulcis
The word citrus means lemon in Greek while aurantium is the adjective of gold, golden, referring obviously to the color of orange fruit. Orange fruit is probably believed to be the legendary golden apple that Hercules had stolen from the Garden of the Hesperides. Oranges are native to India and China. Since the ancient times, oranges have been used in Chinese medicine to treat colds, coughs, and anorexia. Due to oranges being scarce and expensive until the late 17th century, they were only used for their medical properties in Europe and not for human consumption.

You might be surprised to learn that your morning orange juice is a product of China. That is, the orange did not occur naturally but is a cultivar of Chinese grapefruit and mandarin orange “invented” in China centuries ago.
Orange flower water is calming when added to bath water. Because it contains only the are essence” of the essential oil, it is safe to use directly on the skin without further dilution. Elizabeth Anne Jones, author of “Awaken to Healing Fragrance: The Power of Essential Oil Therapy,” suggests spritzing orange flower water on your temples and on the back of your neck to cool off when the weather is hot or humid. She specifically recommends using orange flower water to ease headache or nervous tension.
C. J. Puotinen, author of “The Encyclopedia of Natural Pet Care,” says that the topical application of orange flower water relieves anxiety and stress and speeds wound healing in pets. Because orange flower water contains hydrophilic properties, it acts as a natural surfactant and emulsifier to enhance the application of skin lotions and other cosmetics. The hydrosol is also valued for its light scent, which blends well with other botanical fragrances.
Due to the toxicity of many mothers’ wombs, it’s safe for a small baby to detox with this formula. Children are the products of their mother’s body (womb) and what the mother eats herself and feeds to her family. A toxic woman undoubtedly has a toxic body and this toxic body serves as a vehicle for a developing baby. Many babies are born sick upon delivery today because of developing in a toxic body and womb. Babies consume second-hand everything the mother consumes while pregnant. Most women/mothers don’t know it but their doctor or OB/GYN-prescribed prenatal pills are harmful and poisonous pharmaceutical drugs that contain many horrendous ingredients such as bitumen (black substance used in the streets to take the place of asphalt), coal tar (a known cancer-causing agent), horse manure, and mineral oxides which the body cannot digest or absorb.
These toxins damage the mother’s liver and thus the baby’s liver. This is the reason why so many babies are born with hepatitis and jaundice. The baby is born with a damaged and polluted liver thanks to what mommy unwisely consumed in pregnancy thinking she was doing the right thing. It is a fact that every hospital-born baby is born drugged and physically taxed which is why many babies are born with their eyes closed and have dark circles around their eyes.
Now consider the first food or substance a newborn is given in the hospital after arrival; mother’s breast-milk? NOPE! The correct answer is: SUGAR the number one drug on the planet. Every hospital-born baby is a sugar junkie and addict. The water they give babies in the hospital is saturated with sucrose (white sugar).
Next, consider the fact that most babies in the U.S. are not breastfed, though breastfeeding is becoming the norm again as many women are becoming conscious in this regard and are breastfeeding their baby. Babies who don’t feed from the breasts are the prime candidates and consumers for the synthetic baby milk industry and their toxic and harmful synthetic milk formulas such as ProSoybee, Similac, and Enfamil that are laced and fortified with poisons and harmful ingredients such as lactose (dairy products), iron oxide (which interferes with brain development), mono di-glycerides (pork derivative, for those who eat vegan, Kosher, or Halal), zinc oxide, and a host of other ingredients no animal in the wild would dare consume.
And then, baby begins to eat solid foods and what are they generally given? Answer: Processed commercial baby food that is nothing but denatured substances cut (saturated) with fifty-percent SUGAR! Nothing but denatured and pureed fruits and vegetables and meat that are wholly absent of necessary enzymes vital for digestion and peristalsis. This causes constipation and colic in innocent little babies.
Because this stuff mentioned above makes the baby sick, now the baby needs medicine that is nothing but pharmaceutical drugs. It is recommended you give your baby Children’s Tylenol, Children’s aspirin, Children’s Nyquil and other children versions of adult drugs that really begin to toxify and pollute the baby’s body which is already weak due to not having a fully developed immune system because it was not breastfeed and therefore did not receive mother’s colostrum, a pre-milk substance that serves as a liquid defense (“immune’) system and which helps to properly develop and strengthen the baby’s defense (“immune”) system.
I must also mention how energetically damaging it is for a newborn to be taken from its mother’s presence after delivery. This causes birth trauma that results in energy or subtle body toxicity. It is a known in the esoteric field that a baby shares its mother’s aura (biomagnetic sheath). Those births where the baby is physically detached or taken away from the mother immediately after birth are most disruptive because the baby is alone outside the aura of the mother and when removed more than 20 centimeters from the mother the baby is outside the protective umbrella of the mothers etheric aura. This is important because when a baby is within a mother’s etheric aura, there is an unconscious rhythmic flow of love and emotional energy from mother to baby; and if the baby is removed more than two and a half meters from the mother, the baby loses contact on the mental level as well because the baby is outside the mother’s mental aura or mental field. This is why I recommend giving gemstone elixirs to children while performing their detoxification regimen.
Moving on, lets now consider all those harmful baby hygiene products that includes soaps and shampoos laced with harmful “sodium laurel sulfate” (which causes eye problems) and “propylene glycol” (an industrial product used in making engine degreaser and car antifreeze solutions); baby oil made from “mineral oil” and/or “lanolin” (derived from sheep) which prevents soft baby skin from breathing and thus making the skin dry and rough; diapers and baby wipes (that are bleached with caustic chemicals that irritates baby’s soft backside), baby powders and talc that contain harmful aluminum.
We can’t forget about the propaganda-sponsored vaccination and immunization serums that we unwisely inoculate our innocent babies and children with; serums that are made with the most hellacious and horrendous substances such as mercury, thimerisol, sugar, chicken egg yolks, aborted baby fetal tissue, dog kidney, cow pus, monkey brain matter, formaldehyde (embalming fluid), propylene glycol, and fifty-plus more harmful ingredients that play a role in the development of autism, smiling disorders, depression, partial paralysis, mental retardation, childhood diseases (chicken pox, measles, pneumonia, influenza, hepatitis, pertussis, etc.), and slow speech..
And don’t we let our innocent children brush their teeth with commercial brand toothpastes? Of course we do and what is a major ingredient in this crap? FLUORIDE! Yes, a major rat poison ingredient is put in commercial brand toothpastes for purposes of allegedly fighting cavities (which are solely caused by consuming sugar). Some commercial brand toothpastes also contain engine degreaser (propylene glycol).
I could go on and on, yet, I think the picture has been painted as to why children should detox. Children’s bodies are just as toxic and polluted as adults bodies are.
RECOMMENDED AGE FOR THE CHILDREN’S CLEANSE
The Children’s Full Body Cleanse (CFBC) is suited for infants, toddlers, and small children (up to the age of 12). Teens who may have difficulty swallowing capsules or with the number of required capsules pertaining to the Full Body Cleanse (FBC) may opt to do the CFBC.
Unlike with the FBC, children do not have to cleanse for twenty-one days. Five, seven, or ten days may suffice. Five days is sufficient for infants. Seven days is sufficient for toddlers. Ten days is sufficient for small children. Fourteen days is sufficient for preteens and teens.
THE BENEFITS PARENTS CAN EXPECT TO SEE FROM CLEANSING
Vibrancy, less or no mucus buildup, easy and clear breathing, more energy, improved skin condition, better bowel transit time, improved sleep, clear nasal passages, lessening or eradication of ear pain and problems, and dissipation of thick white film on the tongue denoting colon problem (usually blockage).
